Municipal House (Obecní dům) – náměstí Republiky 5, Prague 1

This Art Nouveau building, built from 1905 to 1911, is an example of unprecedented artistic and craft skills and quality. Its rich exterior and interior decorations are the work of Alfons Mucha, Max Švabinský, J.

V. Myslbek, and others. The monumental Smetana Hall dominates the stunning interior, which features a plethora of charming lounges and halls; its unique Art Nouveau decorations are ubiquitous – in the café, the French and Pilsener restaurants, and the American bar, the second oldest bar in Europe.
